What a fantastic weekend! How do I give a synopsis on a weekend like the one we just had? I hope to post video's on our site as soon as possible to give you a highlight of everything that happened. In short (no pun intended) we ...Celebrated our past...with an unbelievable event in our gym with 1000's of pictures from generations of families that have been impacted by our church. What a tremendous journey to see through their eyes and through our timeline presentation all of the ways in which DFA has been impacted and impacted the lives of people. We also danced and sang our way through something more than just a concert... we had CHURCH with Jessy Dixon! What a fantastic ministry he has and it was a joy to celebrate with him. We enjoyed our present...through a ladies brunch where hearts were shared and tears came from the love and emotion of the moment. 18 of us played golf and enjoyed every moment, well almost every moment - there was that emotional moment on hole 6... We also had a fantastic banquet were we ate and laughed together. Pastor Dave also shared from his heart a view into our future as we look at our past (The Kedging Principle). We are anticipating our future...as we celebrated in style with choir, worship, and a timely message from Dr. George Wood (General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God). You can listen to that message by clicking here. A BIG THANKS...To everyone who made this celebration weekend possible!!! |
